Aim: The aim of Orientation & Refresher Course in Chinese is to refresh fundamental knowledge of the students in Chinese and to sharpen their communication skills so as to achieve desired level and to prepare them for various language related assignments like Interpretation, Guiding, Translation and Teaching etc.
Instructional Objectives:
On the completion of the course, students will be able to
- Read, write, listen and speak Chinese fluently
- Perform interpretation from Chinese to English/Hindi and vice versa.
- Work as tourist guides and escort Chinese delegation.
- Handle industrial and business interpretation comfortably.
- Perform simple translation from Chinese to English/Hindi and vice versa.
- Impart elementary instructions in Chinese.
Course Structure
Duration of Course: 6 months (From 16th June 2009 to 15th December 2009)
Class timings: Two days in a week (on Tuesday and Friday), Two hours per day (From 1800 Hrs to 2000 Hrs)
